Mozart in the Jungle season 4 episode 8, "Ichi Go Ichi E"

not enough people have seen this show, which is so moving in so many ways, but this specific episode gets me every time. hailey is dating rodrigo, an older/much more successful orchestra conductor while she competes in a conducting competition in tokyo. in a series of dream sequences that take place during a tea ceremony, they reflect on themselves and their relationship, and why it can never last even though they're in love. "ichi go ichi e" apparently translates to "one time, one meeting."

(bonus points for the scene where hailey crashes out over the cult of male creative geniuses, including her boyfriend: "i wanna be the crazy one! i wanna be the fucking crazy one!" so good.)
